Switzerland Joins Scehngen Area

Switzerland added its name to the list of countries that have adopted the Schengen Agreement became the 25th member of the Schengen group.

1. Non-visa exempt foreign nationals traveling to Switzerland will now need to apply for a Schengen visa for traveling to Switzerland. 
2. Individuals already in possession of a current Schengen visa are allowed to enter Switzerland with the existing Schengen visa. 
3. The travel benefits also extend to foreign workers in Switzerland, who may now travel to other Schengen area countries using only their passports and Swiss residence permits.
